All of the above comprising the first true facsimile of the suite as published by Giambattista Nolli, being exactly the same dimensions of the 1748 edition.
Also included is a 12 page bi-lingual (English/Italian) essay, Portrait of a City, by Allan Ceen, with illustrations, which discusses the significance of the plan as the eighteenth century benchmark of urban topography and cartography, the iconography of the decorations, the background and history of the plan and its makers, a chronology of G.B. Nolli's life, an annotated legend for the Pianta Grande translated from the Italian avvertimento, and a bibliography.
