The Nolli conference:"Giambattista Nolli, Imago Urbis and Rome" took place successfully in Rome 31 May to 3 June 2003.
It was sponsored by the Studium Urbis and supported by The Graham Foundation and an anonymous donor.

The conference opened in the Sala dei Cento Giorni of Palazzo della Cancelleria with a keynote address by Dr. David Woodward, Editor, History of Cartography Series and the Arthur H. Robinson Professor of Geography Emeritus, The University of Wisconsin Madison. Twenty-six speakers followed over three days (see Conference Program and Speakers' Abstracts below).

The second and third days took place in the Auditorium of John Cabot University on Via della Lungara.

The fourth day was dedicated to morning visits to see the original drawing for Nolli's Pianta Grande at Palazzo Venezia, and the original etched plates at the Calcografia, as well as an evening visit to Randolph Langenbach's Piranesi Project at the American Academy.
